I'm gagging to play this game but don't want to buy it because the PS2 version is on the way but i'm thinking of renting it out.

This game has been classed as the best and scariest in the series not that jumpy pirates are scary in the first one or anything but is it possible to finish in 2 nights?

If you are getting the PS2 version of the game then there is not much point in getting the PSone version since both games are going to be the same.

I own the game and I think that it is very addicting. The puzzles are challenging, monsters are tough and while not being able to scare you, the game can make you jump at times.

I personally think that the game is a good addition to the games library of a horror fan. The game is very atmospheric and lighting really adds up to the atmosphere.

I personally would wait till the PS2 version but its up to you. If you rent the PSone game then there won't be anything to appeal to you when you purchase the game. I mean the game is quite long but if you rent it and get far into it you will lose many hours of enjoyment if you buy the new version.

Hope I helped

I don't know Resi, I haven't played it myself but it's two discs and two characters with distinctly separate storylines so two days might be a bit of a push to complete without rushing through. If you're talking about two days solid gaming (I assume you are) then it might be possible, but there are also several mini plots along with the main story, so renting might spoil it in the long run. The reviews I've read haven't indicated an 'hours of gameplay' given by the game, so I can't even use that as a guideline.

I to am really looking forward to this title on the PS2, I still have the first two titles in the series for the PC and playing those every now and then can still be a laugh.

The European release is scheduled for mid September (14th I think), which isn't too long to hang on for..
