I know this is very old news but what is everyone's view on this? Do you find it odd that such a franchise is being realised on the Gamecube and not on one of the consoles you'd expect to find it on (PS2, X-Box)?
By the time the game is completed and ready to be distributed, I will hopefully own a Gamecube to go alongside my PC. The big, burning decision for me is which version do I buy? I expect the control system will be more suitable on the PC (not that I'm underestimating the capabilities of the GCN's innovative gamepad) and there is a greater chance of an online mode (which I enjoy greatly in games such as Counter-Strike). I'm hopeing the graphics will be pretty much identical in both versions although the GCN version might have a few technical features not found in the PC version due to the fact that the developers have to keep compatability issues in mind with all the different 3D cards.
The advantages of the GCN version should be a 4-player splitscreen mode (just as much fun as online) aswell as much faster loading times due to the lack of bottlenecks in the system data flow (unlike two other consoles I know). So, which should it be - GCN or PC?

Not necessarily. If you've got a smal 15inch monitor and you're running the game and the highest possible resolution you can (to compete with the GCN's anti-aliasing), you're going to have a tiny picture with writing that will be to read!
However, if you're playing GCN duke on a big bubba 32inch widescreen, then therre's got to be something wrong with your vision if you have to squint at that!

With longer loading times, that is. Also, there will be less eye strain while on the PC. See, I'm looking at all aspects here.

GC if you want an instant quick shooting fix, or the PC if you want to immerse yourself in a frenzied massacre.

I reckon that they'll both be completely different.
