I also have a problem with a steering wheel. Not the GT3 one but the Speedster.

Thanks.

I've had similar things with PC World and their policies.

The standpoint on returning of goods is this.

If the product is fit for the use in which originally intended, then there is no obligation on the part of the supplier to refund.

Basically, if this wheel does work as said on the box, regardless of whether it works with GT3 or not, I'm afraid you're stuck with it.

Unless it says "Compatible with GT3 on the box", I dont think there's a lot you can do about it.

Sorry mate, but phone Citizens Advice, they are well versed on consumer law and where you stand in relation to returning of goods.

I would be quite sure that SR would have to cover ot fpr a year, but as the wheel is not technically faulty, there isn't much anyone can do.

It is strange really. I agree.

BTW. SR have passed the buck back to Sony. I have sent a rather good email to Sony, so we'll see if I get a response. It even says on sonys web site that it is compatible and curry's are selling the wheel and game as a pack.

The problem is that the Peddles are not analogue. If any staff are reading this then feel free to comment on SR's actual position in this matter.

Sony said to go back to the supplier as mentioned previously. SR say its over 30 days old and so is not their problem.

Just as a matter of interest. Who is resposible for covering the warranty?

Long before the Fanatec Speedster wheel came out (the official PlayStation wheel), Sony knew that the GT Force wheel would be coming out along with GT3. Sony don't make the Speedster or the GT Force, but why would they choose the Speedster instead of the GT Force as the Playstation's "Official" wheel?? I thought the PSone already had and official one - made by Mad Catz. It is obvious that a Force Feedback wheel is going to be better than just a normal one.
It seems a strange move by Sony to go with an inferior wheel when the GT Force was just around the corner.

What do you think?

Anyone have the phone number of head office.

They would not give it to me.

The guy I spoke to said that he had not heard of the Fanatec. However when I told him of the problems he said to get it exchanged for the GT3 version on grounds that it was not fit for the purpose intended.
