Well this isn't web help this is more computer help. If any of you are good with computer situations.. if not then oh well.

My laptop is making a really loud ticking noise and was just wondering what it was and if it has got anything to do with the hard drive but most likely the fan.

well it may have or it may not have some thing to do with the hard drive or, it may be a fan? it could be any number of things really.

Sounds like a fan is beginning to fail to me.

It's happened to me previously.

The most obvious thing is a fan, as this will consistently spin. It depends if the noise a tick-tick-tick in series.

I also had something similar once which turned out to be the CD/DVD drive. Have you got a disc in there?
