The world needs to know how badly Nintendo screwed up this time so I thought I should be the guy to inform you.
5. Too many gimmicks
I mean, look at that controller. That's not the future! Cell is the future! Sixaxis is the future!11 I'll stick with my traditional controller and games thank you very much. Ridddddge Racer, that game is looking fly. They even have a feature where you can hook up your PSP to your PS3 and use it as a side mirror, that's the future.
4. Encouraged human interaction
I mean, what the heck is up with that?! If I am playing games it has to be on five different PCs in different rooms so we can all have space! Or I have to beat that loser from China, for honour, for glory. Real social interaction? I spit on your grave.
3. Graphics quality.
Have you seen the quality of those wii games?! I mean games like Metroid and No more Heroes look like utter bullcrap when compared to my GTAVVI. You can see each individual hair on Perco Vengottis virtual ass! Graphics make the game people, games like the spledifirous Mobile Suit Gundam. that's just one of the many examples. Convinced yet?
2. Kiddy Games
Wii is lacking in the games department! I want blood! I want gore!!1 I want
Leisure Suit Larry. Babyish games like Zelda and Metroid make me want to barf. No blood = No Sale. I'll be back in a while I'm just off to play Ethnic Cleansing now! Any one want to join me? Hello?
1. It isn't a media centre.
Don't even get me started on this topic now. I mean, what century is Nintendon't living in? Picture this. You are sitting on your ass playing a game when you want to stream some porn , you want to watch a dvd(porn) , you want to eat some friggin' poptarts! The wii needs more freakin' fucntions! Gaming isn't about games anymore you d*****s, it's all about the add-ons the extras and the sweet sweet Linux OS. I propose Nintendo adds Blu-ray, HD-DVD, Beta-Max player, wireless loo and a toaster to their future machines if they want to succeed in this business. You only need to look at sub-par
past console to see what I mean.(Super Nintendo? Super flop IMO)

Indeed. If it manages to properly go beyond 'fad' status (which is where it's at at the moment, let's not kid ourselves - the longevity of it still has to be proven) then we may see MS and Sony both lineup behind the Gametrak Fusion or some other alternative product in an attempt to woo the Wii player away.
As it stands it appears the Fusion is technically better as a pointer so we'll have to see on that one.
It'll be interesting to see if they add an analogue stick thing for your other hand. :D

The PS3 is a bit of an easy target really, I notice you avoid anything 360 related. It's not so easy to lampoon something that's actually doing rather well for itself after a shakey start (ie the same thing that could be said of the PS3 in 12 months time).

However no console is forcing people to play exclusively online. Infact some of the titles found will let you and your friends play offline or online on the same console! So instead of limiting yourself to one way of playing you are able to pick and choose and jump about as you please. Halo 2 allows 4 players to go on line via the same console: Perfect Dark allows 2, Gears of War allows 2 etc etc.

I think most people were convinced of the lameness of that argument by the continual triumphing of the Gameboy over machines with superior graphics .

That's what sells, that's why Nintendo relaxed a lot of restrictions when the N64 struggled and it became a great console to find gory, adult and simply plain fun titles. Now they've backed off again (with a few token offerings: Resi 4, Eternal Darkness) and it's a bit of a letdown really compared to the adult N64 days where a very good balance was struck.

It's all about Nintendo keeping a hold on their unique formats to prevent piracy. That said if you're a movie buff and you want a HD machine with downloadable movies and TV shows then that's already catered for.
Thankfully the lack of reliance on 'extras' keeps the price down but then again Nintendo have routinely (in the past) made sure there were plenty of extra ports for future 'extras'. Y'see for Nintendo it is actually about the extras so far as 'future proofing' and leaving room for monopolising goes.
If Nintendo thought they had a good chance of making a killing on an extra DVD player expansion it'd be out like a shot. You only have to look at the music player extras on the Gameboy to see how quickly Nintendo will forget the 'were just for gaming' line when there's a quick buck to be made

Indeed.
