I still can't link properly so I don't try but basically a Cube version of Advance Wars is to be released according to this.

If so, this will rock.

Everybody loves Advance Wars. WOOOOOOOOOP

But if Cube Wars was turn based, then it would just be advance wars with pretty graphics.

I'm interested to see if they can pull off an RTS with proper aplomb on the GC.

The whole idea of Advnace Wars was to plan your every move- real time, well, I just have a bad feeling; almost as if I ate forty dead possums.

Think Rome:Total War with tanks and guns.

Ok, I've had a think about Kuju and I'm a bit more settled into the fact that they'll be developing it- but I'm still not sure about it being in real-time.

Who knows...

I really think Kuju could come up trumps here, they seem to be suited to that sort of game and hopefully it'll prove to be as fun as the original Advance Wars titles.

If not, there'll be hell to pay.

Intelligent Studio's are technically the original Nintendo games team... their oldest team with aces including the orginal Donkey Kong.

They made the Advance Wars and Fire Emblem titles for the GBA and Paper MArio was their most popular release for the N64. Fire Emblem is a stratagy/RPG style game and Advance Wars, well you all know that.

They are a small team really with 3 teams and plan to develop 2 for the Gamecube and an un-disclosed GBA title.

They'll also provide assitance to UK based Kuju on the upcoming CUBE wars title based on the hugely popular Advance Wars.

Intelligent Studio's are no longer Nintendo's head studio. They now create RPG and Stratagy titles, games that no other Nintendo studio/second party create. They are greatly experienced and very talented. Nintendo's head company has since evolved into EAD, a collection of top quality teams, and loads of them, who are currently developing several DS/GBA titles as well as other popular titles.

EAD of course developed Mario Kart, Sunshine, Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, Four Swords etc... etc...

Lastly, how will it play and be controlled? Will you move individual untis or will you just command them and they mnove themselves? Hope itdoesn't switch screens every time you attack...
