Any one have any suggestions as to what could be up. Are there settings on the PS2 that I should adjust? Any information is greatly appreciated.

You'll probably find it's a £10 cashback provided you bought the game from EB in the first place. You have to send back your original receipt to Sony.
I'm kicking myself about this too. I got the voucher giving me the £10 back if I bought GT3 at SR. Trouble is, I bought the game from one of my 'contacts' at a Sony distributor (who shall remain nameless to protect the stupid) a few days before release date. I can't complain really though, as I got it for trade price, which is almost (not not quite) £10 off (yes, margins are that low, folks...).
Something happened to my PS1 few years ago and I phoned up and they gave me the choice: wait for 3 weeks and get your console repaired(for free), or wait for 3 days and we'll send you a new one. I chose the new one but my old one was Japanese but the new one isn't. Oh well

And people say Sony don't care about their customers?
Personally, I think this is quite fantastic.
