You would also need a network card in your PC. This would give you a socket on the back like the socket you use on the back of your Xbox for Live. Then take a cable from this socket to the router from the PC, and one from the Xbox. And bingo.

excellent router, use it myself, was originally recommended by Biggles and it's a top piece of equipment. A couple of straight ethernet cables £5 for both:

A LIVE game of your choice. The best LIVE games out are Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, Rainbow Six 3 and as a personal fave I muchly enjoy Links 2004.
All this at around £105 - 110 including a LIVE game.
