We all love popping down to the arcades by ourselves, with friends, or to impress the babes with your high scores on the machines!
Or we either go bowling or to the ciniemas and find that there are some arcades there! Well, I only go at the bowling centre or I played on a load of Japanese machines in Italy! Weird!
But we all have our favourites, and there is something different about going down to the arcades than sitting in a badly lit bedroom looking at your TV screen and playing on your PS2/ N64/ PSone or PC!
I don't know if it is the sounds, the simple controls, the huge screen, the improved graphics and speed of gameplay, or the fact that you are under pressure by a time and credit, and knowing that there is a group of girls standing behind you whatching you!
But nearly all arcade games are good, simply, addictive fun that keep you coming back.

Most of these fantastic sereis or genres have been converted into home console games as well as on the big arcade screen in town! Maybe it was because they were so fun in the arcades developers knew they would make a profit from it in a game. Or maybe so we could practice getting those high scores at home in private, so we can rack up the points in front of the gals at the arcades, I dunno maybe it was both?
How many of us have played Time Crisis at home and at the arcades...

How many of us have played any of the Tekken games at the arcades and at home?...

Well we all loved playing the Time Crisis games and I especially liked playing Time Crisis 2 at the arcades more than Time Crisis 1! Well that great number 2 in the Time Crisis series is coming to a home console near you! On the PS2 to be exact and it looks great, I know a lot of us have already known abou this for a few months now but it is closer and is out in September People!!
Another big game, that is going to come out in the arcades first like all of its predessecors is Tekken 4! We have had Tekken 1, we have had Tekken 2, and we have had Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament! They were all out in the arcades first and now number 4 in the series (actually number 5 out of all of the games) comes to the arcades soon!!
The screen shots look amazing, it is meant to be the fastest, hardest, most addicitvie version ever seen on a Tekken game, pity it will be better played on an AMerican/ Japanese NTSC console than on our PAL ones!! :(
But anyway it looks too good to be true anyway!
What do you think should be an arcade game, or shouldn't be an arcade game and be on a home console!!!
And why do things come out on arcades first, do you think there should be a different set of games for an arcade!!

Yea yer right about the spending to many pts, which is what happend to me in Italy, and I end upo using ones that eat awya at your Pounds (£)!!!!
I hate arcades, I love arcades.
Well I hate arcades because they cost me too much money... its true, once you get the first taste of the game you want to play it more and more until you have spent 3000 pts on Silent Scope... and then relize you could have bought a decent Sniper game for just over that amount of money and yes there is something about arcades.
I love arcades because it is in a different enviroment... there is more at stake you can't just deciede to start again you need to be on the ball and you've only got one chance, there are many onlookers, you try to look cool and know what your doing even though you know you suck at it...
Yeah arcades forever... just don't let me near them when I have money :)
