When you put the winning message on the site, with the little quote from it, rather that simply have latest GAD winner: Blah Blah Blah, why not call it "Talking Point" or something. Have the title of the thread, and a small quote from the winning message, similar to the way you already do.
Have a link to that thread, as well as a link to the ukchatforums front page.
Have the 'Talking Point' box on the front page, and in the sidebar of other pages too.
Any thoughts?

Not bad, but SR'd be sued for lying.
For example: My "What's Missing?" Topic won, but no one replied to it... properly anyway. So it wasn't really a talking point.
But I'm just searching for straws to clutch at...
