In light of the posts we've been populating the board with, with regards to favourite songs/lyrics/bands etc. I thought why not create a topic where we can recommend bands to people in the group, with a small description about them and anything in particular that artist has created that ought to be listened to if the opportunity arises.
In anycase, I'll stop rabbiting on and start the proceedings;
Band - Candiria
Recommended Listening - 300% Density
Reference Bands - Tool, Dillinger Escape Plan, Miles Davis
From the Brooklyn, New York Hardcore scene, Candiria mix a fusion of Jazz, Hardcore, Hip-Hop, Metal and anything else in between to create a truly original, yet dynamic sound. I have yet to hear anyone like em'.
I guess you could label them under a Prog-Rock tag, but for me, they go places even a Prog-Rock band wouldn't dare touch.
Highly recommended!
