Ive read a few Web pages about the history of computers...

And there a quite a few Ameriucan sites which seem to catagorise computer software into Ages..

Primitive Age
Golden Age
Dark Age
Middle Age
Modern Age
...

That sort of thing...

However, none of them it seems can agree on what age is what...

Wher the years of the Speccy, C64, Amstrad, etc.. the golden age or the dark ages for computer games?

Does the primitive age begin or end with Pong?

Any ideas?

The Dark age, surely the foundation of Microsoft or one of its Windows creations sparked this one off... :)

I was thinking mre, what computer systems would you classify as being released during the golden age...

as well as, what 'age' classifications would you use?

(apart from the silicon, which we still have, I dont think computers have ever been made of stone?)

The Golden Age: Must be the time of the Amiga, Megadrive and the SNES. The launch of the Gameboy, and the rise of the PC as a games platform.

Not to mention some of the great games around at that time eg: Sensible Soccer, Sonic, Super Mario...

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Just a quick note to say thanks for a very good service ... in fact excellent service..
