Does anybody think that this year has been the best year for games, and the games industry so far? What features have created the change, and is this perhaps just a glimpse of whats to come?

I think that this year has been good for gaming, but to me it doesn't really stand out from any other year.

No - Dominated by a rubbishy new Sony console - Next year will rock though.

This year has been good overall, with GT3 CBFD, GBA, etc. BUt next year will be even better with the release of GC all of its games, the XBOX will have just been launched, and great new games for the XBOX including a Buffy the VAmipre slayer one that looks awesome!
