I got a component cable from Nintendo. I pluged it into my tv that has high definition and put in beach spikers. I held B and clicked yes for progressive scan. the game started but it was streached over my whole tv. Why is it streached into wide screen? How do i get it back to a square?

yeah my tv does have that button on the remote. but it dosent do anything when I push it.

RGB signals auto-shift to widescreen, I presume component is the same.

For some reason, every time I use my Xbox it put my TV into widescreen mode - I have to press the button on me remote to change it back.

Just find your remote and press the appropriate button.

Can't you just change your TV mode to 4:3?
