I should try to sleep,
But I can't somehow.
I'll wait for the beep.
The beep it taunts me so,
I sit there and wait,
But it doesn't go.
Still I sit there,
And look at my clock.
Waiting for the glare,
That wears a frock.
"BEEP!" There it goes,
Now she'll come in,
And wipe my nose.
She walks out,
Still glaring at me.
She likes to shout,
Especially at Chi.
The nurses here,
Are always staring,
They think we fear.
Now I wait again,
Wait for the next beep.
When the nurse defends,
Us, the "patients" keep.
Now I wait to see,
To just get out alive,
Of the mental infirmary.
