It can be really annoying if you don't know how a cd case functions like my good self and some of your cds get scratched up and decide not to work. However the only time a cd has completely given up and decided not to work was fifa 97 this was quite annoying until i decided to read the manual and I turnd to the pages at the back and those nice people at EA sports had a note in the back. It turns out that if you are a severe CD abuser (Even if you use them as Coasters for your hot drinks) if you send the dodgy CD back to them then they will send you a nice new shiny copy for the drastically reduced price of about £7. Although we should take good care of are CDs if one does get scratched up/damaged badly this could be worth checking for if you want to replace the CD as it could save you some money if that is the case.

Perhaps some sort of bizzare fetish, or ritual.

Most games can be replaced if your CD becomes damaged for a low price.

Futurama once had a scene on the giant garbage ball which had interesting landmarks including "Discarded AOL CD Mountain". Fun.

I must have the largest collection of free cds with 30 odd by my computer. They just keep coming in news ppres or through the door I haven't used any but i cant be botheresd to throw them away as that would require additional effort.

CDs skim really well, and make great frisbees, but the best use is definately the coaster (especially the AOL and Lineone ones, as they are free)

What bugs me is when you buy a game secondhand off the net and they dont have any instructions, or the box is replaced with a jewel case. it makes you wonder about the sender and how much they care at all.

I got gt1 (for about £2, i admit), and it was in its original case, yet there was no writing down the side as they had taken the backing paper out of the box and cut it off with scissors! why on earth would you do something like that?!?!?!

I use my cds as skimmers in the local pond, would this be classed as aform of cd abuse?
