Well. Having not seen videos yet, because of Gamespot Complete (grrr), I only seen new pictures. First of all, HUD looks like it's been done by a 3 yr old with Crayola pens. Secondly, the graphics still look a tad shaky. Well, not quite HL2/Halo 2 standard, which is what we all want.

But

It's promising, and it won't be out for a while. I hope it's slowly metamorphisised into a Resi 4 style adult title that manages to impress the currently FPS-over loaded market.

Hope some more appears at E3, but it's looking shaky at best. I really want it to do well though, it sounds much more interesting than practically any other FPS around.

This highlights the good and bad bits best -

Ooo, that Nash-linked vid looks tasty.

If they can integrate ghost/FPS sections well, and make it slick, very clever and shooty, it'll rule.

Just been reading on IGN - needs control and AI improvments, but some of the stuff sounds extremely interesting - i.e, possessing lights to scare guards, only for them to turn them off etc. Hope it's not scripted...

Actually I lie, I got my Nintendo Conference vid from C-E, Geist and Zelda I got from Nintendo themselves. What a great 24 hours it has been. Games wise, I mean.

You know you love me Nash.

I'll get a vid when I get back on my broadband PC. Damn 56k...

I got mine through cube-europe, which I now love, despite its untrustworthiness.

Looks interesting, the promise of controlling dogs and stuff to scare guards is a nice thught. Only trouble I can see so far is that it may be a bit too linear, and like someone just mentioned, the controls are meant to be a little dodgy. Nice premise though.

I agree with Halo 2 and Doom 3, but HL2 looks to be incredible! I don't know how many thims I'll write that!

I know what you mean. In terms of innovation, Geist is right at the top, maybe a bit below Half Life 2. Halo 2 looks fantastic, but like I said in another post, it's simply a 'Greatest Hits' of gaming, refined as much as possible.

Nice to see Tiltawhirl pro Nintendo for once too! ;)

Geist is pretty interesting stuff. I'll need to hear more on what the game is actually all about, but thusfar it's looking fairly promising. Graphics will be improved, no doubt, while the multiplayer is almost certain to have Goldeneye-esque arenas included, as Nintendo know what makes a fine FPS, because the N64 hosted one in 1997.

Right now it might not be as sharp as it could be. But it's looking nice, all the same.
