You can link up to 16 Xboxes via a LAN. Not 16 players like the original, 16 actual consoles. That could mean 64 players in that same room, how f**king crazy is that!?

Perhaps the levels will be designed for 64 players, with the rest being made up with 'bots?

Halo 1 was lacking this feature, and they said that they wouldn't release Halo 2 'til it was ready, so maybe that's what they've added?

It's the way the bloke said it too:
"You'll be able to connect 16 consoles. No-one's noticed that yet."

And it's true. All these press people were playing the game at E3, but from reading the articles on various websites, none picked up on it.

Its probably just so you can get a screen per-person.

I doubt you'd be able to get 64 players on Halo 2. The levels wouldn't be designed for that amount of people, would be nice though.
