Q. Are you happy with the way the PS2 has performed while constructing the game?
A. It's not really a matter of the hardware. Yes, I'm happy with the PlayStation 2. I mean, all three of the next generation games consoles: Xbox, PlayStation 2 and Gamecube, they're all the same. It's hard to develop on all these machines.
Q. Will there be any other MGS2 features you'll be working on?
A. We're actually thinking of making MGS2 hard drive compatible. Like in the previous game there was a camera where you could take pictures; with a hard drive you could take thousands. Things like that. There's plenty of fancy stuff you can do with the hard drive, but we're not sure if we can do it. But we have ideas.
Q. What about online...
A. That will probably come after the hard drive things. We can do hard drive stuff then we'll start thinking about online stuff

So, some interesting stuff there. The first time anyone has said that all the machines are equally difficult to develop for.
But the most interesting things are the possible use of the hard drive, and - in particular - the possibility of online options.
The MGS games are by their very nature a single-player experience. What possible online elements could there be, apart from maybe a time/high-score element as was set up for the ZOE demo version?
