Alright, so after speaking to datels technical support today, i thought i would have this solved, but no.

I can get it all working, entered all the little codes, but after restarting, it goes back to being green :(
Meaning i would have to enter that loooong code every time i wanna watch a dvd (2 or 3 times a week).

They told me, ok, dont have your memory card in slot one or this can confuse the playstation and it wont save the infomation onto the region x card in drive 2. So ive tried this twice now, and it still doesnt save anything.

What i wanna know is, to anyone out there who has one of these, does your region x memory card thing show up in your browser? Cause mine dont, and im wondering if i have a faulty card.

Tellah or afternoonboy???? Any answers would help.
Im gonna ring their support again in the morning.
Thanks

I have my PS2 set up through RGB and S-Video simultaneously at the moment using Sony's AV adaptor. This lets me output the sound to my hi-fi also. But if the Region X allows RGB DVD then it's better quality, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Yeah, it'll show up just before your problems start :)
Nah, its a cool thing - i just want mine to work properly.

Bonus: Are you planning to you use a scart lead with yours? Or ya sticking with composite or svideo? If so, let me know the results.

Yeah, i might have to do that (take it back and exchange it) This is so shlt.
Thanks for your replies.
Im wondering, if you wernt using composite, afternoonboy, then would it be green like mine?
Hmm. I'll see what they say on the phone 2morrow,
and if its not sorted, i'll have to exchange it :(

Anyone else out there who has one? Especially if your using scart (im trying to eliminate possibilities)
Thanks

I keep the datel card in slot 2 & have a PS2 card in slot 1.

The datel card doesn't show on the browser, the PS2 memory card does, as usual.

I am using the composite lead so green screen has never been an issue for me, I only have to use the Region X to watch a Region 1 DVD, everything else is as before.

I have not had to use any of the X Codes from the Datel Web Site to watch the Region 1 disc I borrowed (The Doors, great movie by the way) and if the codes have to be entered each time you wish to view, I would consider that a pain and frankly unacceptable.
