Microsoft yesterday announced that they would allow PC sellers to remove Internet Explorer from their OS should the customers wish it. This is so they can avoid any future court cases, and is a complete sham.. Microsofts share price rose with this news.

However after visiting Microsofts own website yesterday I saw no sign of a Internet Explorer Uninstaller....Where is it, is it that hard to make a program to uninstall it???

I think its all a sham, any other views ;-(

You can't, because Windows would die.

I never knew that you couldn't uninstall IE. You can reinstall it though by overwriting an old install.

I think it means future OSs. Windows 98 would be buggered without it. To get rid of IE would take more than an uninstaller, you'd need a patch, and a pretty hefty one at that.

Microsoft are too rich for their own good. I like 'em in the sense that they produce classy programmes and stuff for your PC.

Console wise - no, I'll leave them where they are thanks.

Microsoft are given a hard time for anything they do these days as people find flaws in their software. You would expect a company with so much money to be able to make better software with not as many flaws. This is why Im unsure at the moment about the X-Box, they could be making it a little to PC-ish and the software in it could develop problems. Lets hope not though as it would be good competition for the others if the X-Box made a good impact.
