I had to start this new topic here as I am still classed as a newbie. I have been here for quite a while now, and am starting to get to know people, and I hope that when the ticker goes over 300 posts (I allready have the wordcount and the time) I get treated as one of the crew instead of a newbie that i feel happens sometimes.
To be honest I came here with the lure of winning a GAD. I havent won yet, and have seen people win 2 or 3 GADs in the time i have been here, and I used to be bitter. I thought that only the regulars got GADs as they had commitment to the site, and you had to prove your staying power to get out of being a newbie and start winning. This has been set straight since, I think it was Stranger in Paradise.
Now I am here though, and chatting to people, I find its more about the people than GAD. I don't read Nintendo Mags, and I dont follow (care) about the X-Box, but coming here keeps me up on the news. I'll take this opportunity to thank ssxpro for his SSX tips, and everyone else who I have had fun arguments with, which have always put a smile on my face of a monday morning.
I would take this paragraph to have a moan about people complaining of not winning GAD. but the bulk of this was posted in the FOG forum under the 10 tips topic (which will win for the irony of it), so I won't bother.
Except to sat that It's been cool so far, and I hope its cool from now on. See you all as a fellow regular real soon.

Thats nice. I`m glad you enjoy it here. When I joined, things seemed a little strange, as I hadn`t been to many discussion boards before. I didn`t even know about gameaday for a few months, until Wookiee Monster won, (when he claimed Moto GP), but I loved it here. There were so many people that could tell you what was happening. Most of the time it was WM that was most helpful, but many others are often full of good info. Adrian, saesee, Flying Pig and the rest of the regular PS2 crew are all really good at keeping you informed.
Don`t worry too much about the regular/newbie/no(ta)ble thing. If you want a decent conversation, then I suggest you have it with somebody who doesn`t care about the titles under your name. Most of the notables are very modest, and a fair few regulars don`t make a fuss. If you avoid those that make a big distinction between these levels then you should be alright.
