Today i rented two games,two games that over the last few months have been hyped up,built up,made out to be fantastic games.these two games are nba street and the bouncer.both of these games are coming from great backgrounds,youve got nbastreet,created by a division of EA sports called EA BIG who are famous for creating one of the PS2's biggest hits,SSX snowbording.
And then the bouncer from square soft you know the guys behind final fantasy which is also been a hit for many years. in all the magazines,on all the websites theres massive ammounts of praise about these games,saying they do this and have put an end to that.but when i layed both these games into my resenably new PS2 i was a bit dissapointed. i had been lead to believe a lot of things about these games,but most of these things wernt that noticable or great and there was a lot of bad points that were not mentioned.
Nba street - this was one of my most wanted PS2 games up there with Gran turismo 3 and metal gear solid 2.but now its
droped a few places.
i found it a bit to 'ARCADY'.it didnt need much skill, it seemed to be down to luck.it also was a bit repetitive and annoying.it does not live up to the hype at all and certainly is a big step in the wrong direction for EA BIG,they had almost managed perfection on SSX,but nba street is a long way away.imagine the net is perfection,complete game heaven-nba street took its shot too far away and missed the hoop by a long shot.
michael jordan must be spinning in his mantion full of money.
The bouncer - well the bouncer really did bounce.here are the ain reasens i dont like it:
far too many video clips
far too long video clips
slow
not many moves
repetitive
un rewarding
this game was built up and said to be the best action game on the PS2.HA.
yeah right.
both of these games COULD have been brillient.
maybe a sequal for both will do some good.
im not saying that i hate them well maybe i am about the bouncer.but nba street is ok, i just expected so much more.
if i ever was lucky enough to win another game a day i was going to pick nba street,i think ill get gran turismo 3 instead,then if i win a third time il get street -maybe.
you may like the games, so dont let what i said stop you from considering these games,this is just my opinion.
