Ok then, lets start with the way it looks I think you'll all agree with me when I say it is the most sexiest looking console Anyone has ever seen. The black background really makes the PS2 bit stand even by the looks you know your in for a treat.
Now lets talk about the gameplay, the wicked thing about it is that the controler is the same as the old one so all you greystation ownwers won't have a problem finding where all the buttons are. i myself was an owner of a N64 and when i swaped fron the N64 controller to the greystation contreller I found Incredibly easy to do.On SSX with all the buttons you can pull off some amazing tricks with just a touch of a button.
just when you thought the PS2 couldn't get any better you find out theres a DVD player built in, Now this DVD player is absoulutely BRILLIANT you can watch any DVD's you want I never stop watching DVD's on mine it relly is something.
The games. There are so many games to choose from and all of them are fantastic. The best game I would say that is out at the moment would have to be ONI.
Ive now come to the end of my Review and overall I would say nothing is gonna beat the PS2's looks or gameplay for a long time so all I have to say now is that SONY i salute you.

It takes time for a console to develope. GT3 will be the first major example of the superior graphics that the PS2 can produce. Already, Zone of the Enders is probably better looking than most DC titles. It was let down by length and variety of gameplay, but it still looked fantastic.

What would you prefer? Try kissing eachother instead of hurting eachother? If the gameplay works as well as it did in Tekken 3, keep it. Anyway, Tekken is a bad example really, as it was only a pseudo-sequel, rather than a full upgrade. (Fortunately GT3 will arrive instead of GT2000)

1080 was well founded? Did anybody actually buy it? Just because it is a snowboarder doesn`t mean that no other similar games can be released. What about all the new short cuts? What about untracked? Did you snowboard around a pinball machine in 1080?

Glad you agree. The best way to get good gameplay is often to fine tune a winning formula. GT3 should do this to the extreme.

Like you say, personal opinion, and it can`t be criticised. Its bound to look like a toaster to a sega fan. Its been the cause of so many melted DC discs :-)

This might be a flaw, but to accomodate the extra ports the console size would have been decreased, detracting from its good looks. There should be USB compatible joypads sooner or later that will make up for the loss. Anyway, many people won`t have 4 player bash ups that often. I found I did a lot at Uni, so I got the tap, but at home it happens less often, so I might not have bothered, which would have saved money.

Do you mean £300? Why would it be? It comes with two consoles.

How does that destroy Sony? Surely only the developers suffer. Besides, there are more games sold total since launch, and the really awesome titles are still on the waiting list, so the games sales should improve with their arrival.

A boy wants a new pet. He is given the choice of a mature dinosaur, or a young lion. Which do you go for? The one thats extinct, or the one that has a future?
It may be a bad example, but the PS2 already has games to compete with the DC, and there are many more in the pipeline. However, everytime a decent DC title is announced, it is canned two weeks later. (Admittedly not all of them, but the console doesn`t have a future, hence the cheap price)

Well, ok, you may be amazed at the graphics. They're better than the PS1 for example... but have you played a Dreamcast. Just play something like Soul Calibur, and you will see that, just because PS2 is more powerful, it does not have to have the best graphics.
As for gameplay. Has the gameplay changed in ANY way to PS1 games? Answer: no. Tekken Tag has exactly the same gameplay as Tekken 3. Even the best games like SSX-PRO don't really add to the well founded games like 1080. Saying this however, games do not need to have new gameplay to be good, and there are certainly some good PS2 games out there.

Urrrrrr... personal opinion... guess I'll take your word for it! (that oversize toasted!)

However, the PS2 has a fatal flaw- only 2 controller ports, and you need to buy a multitap to play with more people! One interesting point about the controller is the use of analogue buttons- the harder you press the faster you fire a gun/hit people/run etc. It makes you wonder how they could be used in the future.

The dvd player lets u watch Dvds... thank for that! But seriously, the DVD isn't as good as new ones at the same price. Personally I believe that consoles should just play games... even if you think differently, the PS2 DVD ability has destroyed sony in japan: they are now selling more consoles than games!

Now I MUST seriously disagree. Clearly you need to open your eyes to the Dreamcast. It has a far wider range of great games, many more original titles, and is now far cheaper. Every non-biased games mag/editor/fan has admitted the PS2 games so far are very underwealming... let's hope that changes when MGS2 comes out, but until then it is an undeniable fact that for games alone, DC wins.

Now this is just biased! How do you know that the Nintendo gamecube or Microsoft Xbox will not be better (and don't say Xbox is a PC... it is certainly not!). Just because the PS1 was top of its pack, doesn't mean the PS2 will be.

Having said that most newbies also have to put up with being verbally beaten into place by the regulars until they just join in the discussions without ruffling feathers.
.. and there's nothing wrong with that either!
Except of course that this person sounds young (I apologise if you are not young, but you do come across as being so). In this case, I feel it would be better to leave off the lad until he's a little more comfortable with the way things work around here.
Wow, look at that... everybody's in the right :-)
As for the spelling and stuff, it may not be 100% perfect, but nobody survives more than a few messages without the occasional muftake.
Very poorly done and this is NOT the review section. Please get lost.
