That's right people. If you were really stuck on one, the first thing that comes to mind isn't what games you want or which FOG people you want for company. Your first instinct would be to look for an escape route, or failing that, food!
Sorry, just thought I'd say.

It is really complicated, and not entirly efficient, but you need to make around 5 different porous layers. This should consist of stones, sand and moss (if available) you then need to make it into a freestanding structure, using sticks etc..and you will need to make a base, again the best method would be sticks. But you should try and find a freshwater supply before relying on this, as only around 10 drops saltwater are converted into 1 drop freshwater.

However since you are on a desert island, then water would be surrounding you, so you wouldnt need to do the below methods, but you would need to filter out the salt, and i know how to make one of those as well.

Well, if you are in the desert, you can actually make water by digging a hole, putting a cup in the center of the hole, and stretching a raincoat over the hole. Or you could simply cut a hole in a cactus and drink its contents.

I watch all of the Ray Mears survival programmes, i think i would have a good chance of survival (provided there was food available on the island)

Topic of the day: Desert Islands.

Anyway, I really wouldn't know what to do. I don't know any survival procedures etc... and I still haven't watched Cast Away.

I s'pose i'll break-down into a emotional heap of flesh crying.
