Im trying to help my mate set up Xbox Live but hes having trouble, I could help him but im not with him and i have to help him over MSN.
When I first set-up my Xbox Live account Im sure I only had to put in the MAC address and then Xbox Live done the rest Automatically. He has his MAC Address ready, but I cant remember how I set it up.
He said it asking him for the DSA (something like that), im sure you can do all of this automatically because I definately didn't have to do all of this.
Please help.

Check around the internet for something, and ask him how he has his broadband - set-top box and all that.
