Everyone thinks that ICQ is a bright, friendly experience. They are wrong, there is a darker side to this nice little program. You see, hackers have been busy for a while now inventing programs that can exploit the programs (ICQ) users. Having heard that I was going to be 'hacked through my ICQ' by an irate user, I decided to look into the threat. I first visited www.********.com, where I was instantly able to find several programs for such use. I hit the jackpot, however, when I visited www.***********.com where I found a wealth of programs. There are ones that make your IP address visible to any teenager brimming with hatred. There is also another one where a hacker can set up his PC as a server so that the messages of both you and the person you are talking to must go through his PC, and he gets to see thw whole conversation while you remain completely ignorant to his actions. Not only this but anyone an get ICQpw-bypass and log on as anyone they feel like without the need to enter your password, and for the nastiest of users a bomb can be sent along with the message to b****r up your rig.
I feel these threats should be highlighted more frequently so I am writing to you to enlighten people who remain blissfully unaware of the dark side or ICQ.

The editor then replys stating that ICQ isn't the most secure program in the world. Does MSN experience these hacking problems? No. It's too secure.
So think about it next time you ICQ users, is somebody watching you...?
I am living proof that MSN experiences these problems!
Especially when I was able to talk briefly to a hacker who bypassed my original MSN account and was using ti to speak to me (and a few people from here)
So MSN isn't the safest! Some people assume that Microsoft are the safest, but remember: Hackers stole the windows codes even though they were supposedly impossible to get!
