Sorry to be a pain in the a*se but ive never really been into these, and i bought one for work. I can put songs from limewire into my library but i really have no idea how to convert Cd's into my library. Another thing is that i don't actually want to pay to put a music video on my I-pod so how do i put one on without paying 3 quid for it? Anyone help would be much appreciated.

Assuming you're using iTunes ... just stick the CD into your drive and select (wait for it) Import CD (or whatever the Windows version says).

You can alter the settings in Preferences / Settings / Options / Whatever.
