Lionhead Studios have finally released an official patch for Black & White!
After promises after promises Linohead have released a 8.94MB Version 1.00 patch for Black and White, but is it a bit late?

Black and white has rocked the gaming world but was soon bogged down by many bug problems, which for me crippled the game and i hardly play on it now, i haven’t even completed the game yet. I still feel that Lionhead have let down the gaming public and their reputation has be badly tarnished by the bug riddled game, then the promises on to off promises about a release date for a patch. Then they released a Beta Patch and said:

"There will be no support from EA regarding this patch for Black & White.
If you want to report any bugs with this patch, PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT EA CUSTOMER SUPPORT"

Which gave me the impression they didn't really care if the patch worked or not and was just trying to keep the public happy. While we were still waiting for the patch they had the nerve to post on their web site that they were planning to make add-ons so the villages can do such things as "play football" which has since been removed.

Hopefully Lionhead Studies have learned their lesson that they can't release a game that is not 100% complete and then wait for a few months to release a patch for the game.

I remember people saying how great B&W was when it got released, how they were playing it non stop for hours on end, looking forward to slapping their monkey every morning before going to work, and then again at night.

Remember all the hype? Where did that go? Surely it's still a great game, buggy or not? Bugs are annoying I agree, but at least they patched some of it for you. And another patch will follow I'm sure, because they probably rushed this one because of gamers clamouring for it quickly rather than giving it another couple of months and doing it properly.

However, as PC technology develops and you continue to upgrade your PC with new components that are untested with B&W, more bugs are going to arise, and more patches are going to be clamoured for.

You get the patches for free at least.

I guess this is the problem with PC's.

I have it on PC, but have never played it due to my poor graphics card!!

I may wait for the PSX version...

I completely agree, I thought it would be one of the best games ever but in my opinion, it is the worst game ever made. The bugs are too bad to let you enjoy the game and I have ininstalled the game and have put it under my bed because I will probably never play it again.
