Well not content on giving Nintendo fans a command and conquer esq. stratagy title (Advance Wars: Under fire), British based developer KUJU is developing the realistic racer, 'Lotus Extreme', exclusivly for the Nintendo Gamecube.

Well comments were thrown around the Cube-Europe message bit claiming this is probably just a port of the older game 'Lotus Challenge' and other people claimed 'that game was released on the Gamecube too, wasn't it?'

Well no, I did a bit of digging. Lotus Challenge was a game set for all systems before becoming exclusive to the X-box, and was never released on the rival formats although originally planned. It looks like Lotus Extreme is a slightly re-jiggled version of the X-box original with the average reader score at Gamespot being 75%.

How lovely.

Lotus Challenge was indeed a load of crap. Kuju are not racing experts.

I'll buy it if it's any good.

I am interested.

Well I've got it on PS2 so... Bought it last year as research for the game I was making for my final year project. And for a little extra pointless information. The guy that worked on the physics is now working for Minds-Eye on the Starsky and Hutch 2 physics.

Is this going to be released on the GC? I haven't heard of it before but going by the previous AW games it should be brilliant.

It'll also be good to have a realistic racer for the GC, so long as it's good. So far the GC hasn't had much to shout about in the motor racing genre.

I missed the point in creating a topic for a game no one is intrested in and no one will buy.

I wouldn't expect it would be.

Just nice to see a new developer comitting to Nintendo.
