Although, having said that, anyone reading my past posts will notice that I tend to vear away from the Sony camp... and give me sympathy more to Nintendo and sometimes (usually to defend) the X-Box...
Problem is...
I've just been watching the video for Luigis mansion... is it me, or isLuigi rather closely modelled on Wallace, of wallace and Gromit fame... less in the looks epartment (although ther are starting similarities behind that moustache) but in the animation, espectially of the mouth and eyes... if you get the chance to see the movies (or when we eventually get to play the game) you'll see what I mean...
Equally... With new Gauntlet games, a new SPY HUNTER title... and even a new Ghosts'n'Goblins title developed for the PS2...
I've got to admit... I'm being rather tempted to cross over to the dark side :)
Its probably pure nostalga, but I can still lose a good few hours killing Zombies and driving a car that morphs into a boat :)

Mind you I find that more often than not when old classics like Gauntlet get remade they just lack the magic of the original.
To become classics these games had to be truelly outstanding, and highly playable. That was certainly the case with Gauntlet, what with it being 4 player. But since then other games have come along and surpassed it. When developing a Gauntlet revival game, even if it has everything that made the original special, and some added features, it just might not measure up to other games available today.
Look at the remake of Frogger for instance!
Any PacMan game since those on the Atari 2600 that has tried to revive the game has been pretty awful. Pacmania added the ability to jump, but all in all the game was poor in comparison with other titles available.
