I thought I was the only one who did this but I know lots of people who didi this, so why did we do it? Did you used to do it to?
I think one reason may be because we don't want to see someone playing a better game than the one we own so we try to make them ( and sometimes ourself) believe that ours is better.
Anyone else know why we do this?
Think about Michael Schumacher in F1, he drives a Ferrari and the Italians love him but when he goes from Ferrari(Not until the end of 2004), if he does go that is and moves to another team they will hate him and love whoever drives for them.
I remember wanting a Mega Drive because my mate had one, I didnt get one and few years later my other mate had a SNES. I got that and didnt really like Sega. Then I wanted a N64 but my mate had a PS1 and I couldnt be bothered to wait for the N64 so got a PS1. I thought the N64 was rubbish even though 6 months eariler all I did was think how lucky the Japanese were for having the N64. I studied the Nintendo mags so much that I knew the mags inside out and word for word.
But now I dont hate any company, because I enjoy gaming and owning all the consoles lets me enjoy that. I have owned a Master System, SNES, PS1, N64, DC and a PS2. I will get the GC and maybe the X-Box. I still think that quite alot of people are still biased as they do want to own the best and will make there mates buy the same machine as them.
