Nintendo claim that they where the first ppl to think of the idea of using an anolougue stick on their joypads. Can no one else remember the revolutionary 'Nights', One of the greatest games ever created on the Sega Saturn of all machines. With this game came a joypad which looked almost identical to the dreamcast joypad.

Is it me or have Nintendo got away with claiming they invented this feature on their joypads instead of the greatest computer entertainment companys in the world SEGAS

Actually there was a game on the Atari STE called hunter, this was a 3d adventure, although admittedly the graphics were not so much poor, just lacking detail.

Armitage, if it was on the C64 how could it of been 3D? If it somehow could of managed 3d then it would of been VERY poor and didn't look 3d. Mario 64 WAS the first ever 3d adventure!

This is one of the things under dispute... theres been a number of people stepping forward saying that they had written and commercially puvlished platform titles long before DK was released...

And they invented the first full 3D adventure didn't
> they?

No way... There were quite a few 'real' 3D adventure games... even going back as far as the C64 ...

What was that game on the C64 where you had to search around, trying to find out why all the people had vanished?

Analogue sticks were probably based upon old arcade sticks. Yet I still think that Nintendo were the first people to ever create an analogue stick that worked perfectly with games. And they were the first to release an analogue stick with the console.

Recently (over the past year or two) Nintendo have been claiming they've invented pretty much everything...

I know a few people have been complaining about their claims...

And although I dont thin k Nintendo will remove the comments... there may be subtle re-wordings occuring at some point?
