It seems that these days money is what makes a good team great. The likes of Man Utd, Arsenal, Juve, Real Madrid, Inter all have lots of money to spend on the big name players whereas the smaller teams have to rely on the money they have to try and get by and hopefully have enough money to buy new players and improve their team.

Recently the talks of transfers has brought up prices like 48 million for Zidane (Ok so he may well be the best in the world at the moment but how long has he left?), 32 million for Buffon ( He's a goalkeeper, for that kind of money you would want a cleansheet all season)

So what's it going to be like in the future, with the way things are going, small teams will only get better if they can find young talent and sell them on for a large sum of cash to help them improve. As for the big guns, they will move further away from the smaller teams and spend more and more to capture the best players. This will probably mean a rise in ticket prices, strip prices so that they can spend more.

is any player really worth that kind of money? They may be great but for that kind of money you want something more than great. A kind of player who scores everygame, which probably will never be found.

Has anyone heard. Zidane is in a drug quiz over allegations that he's taken... well, drugs. This also include Inzaghi and other Juve players.
