My god quite possibly the greatest PPV in the history of wrestling. Every single match was at least 3 star quality and the 2 main events were both Match of the year candidates. Everyone brought the awesomeness and the New York crowd was absolutely electric from the get go tipping the event over the edge of stupendousness.

Bruno Sammartino looking in tip top shop for a 71 year old guy. Kept it short and sweet and Joe and Takeshi Morishima had a great brawl out of nowhere after their bulky selves couldn't make it to the back at the same time. Can anyone say Match of the Year 2007?

Jack Evans and his rubber spine again providing the perfect jobber material for Davey Richards, great opener, i am a sucker for the human highlight reel and car crash waiting to happen that is Jack Evans.

Delirious on splendid form against Adam Pearce giving him SIXTY corner clothesline, which the NY crowd happily counted along to :-D

Jacobs, Colt and Daniels in probably the worst match of the night but that's not saying it was bad, the card was just so excellent that this average match was just kind of "meh". Loved the comedy bits from Colt as per usual, shame he's not being used by the WWE because god forbid an actually funny talented guy gets a push.

Cornette was on electric form making the crowd absolutely loathe him and therefore wishing to see The Briscoe's get their ass handed to him for being associated with The Jimster which Homicide and Joe happily obliged. Homicide and Joe have such excellent intro music in ROH

Speaking of loathing people The Kings of Wrestling are (or rather were what with Claudio joining WWE the schmuck) the best damn heel tag team in wrestling right now. Crowd hated them but because they're so damn good and New York loves a good heel they were getting some appreciation towards the end.

McGuiness and Marufuji took the Japanese style brought it to America and won over quite possibly the hardest crowd to please that were unsure at first but by the end were going bat crackers over it. Thrilling match.

Dragon and KENTA had a hard act to follow but they sure as hell delivered. Dragon giving possibly the best reaction ever after slipping out of the surfboard prompting some members of the crowd to chant *You f'd up* to which Dragon replied *I f'd up?* giving KENTA a stomp from the surfboard position driving his knees into the canvas then looking at the fans *I don't EVER F up!!!!* Probably the two best wrestlers in the world right now (though Joe might argue) Dragon wrestling the match with a messed up shoulder he hurt the night before in a 60 minute match in the 10th minute but still carried on instead of taking his ball and going home, take not Angle!!
The ending was awesome with believeable near falls driving the crowd (and myself) mad. Definitely match of 2006 from what i saw.

Also Go 2 Sleep from KENTA is still the best, sickest damn finisher in the business, keep your little Canadian destroyers

Fret ye not. The Kings of Wrestling live on, after Claudio was seemingly fired by the WWE before he even reported to Deep South...

Source - Wrestlezone
"WWE fired Ring of Honor star Claudio Castagnoli last week, even before he reported to Deep South Wrestling. Castagnoli dropped the ROH Tag Team title recently with the idea he would be reporting to Georgia soon to honor his WWE developmental deal. According to Dave Meltzer, WWE had told Castagnoli to attempt to honor his previous bookings. Castagnoli did cancel a Japanese tour anyway to start with Deep South.

Apparently more WWE firings are coming."
