"Why X-BOX?"

The only reason microsoft is making the X-BOX is to get people interested and then say 'link it to a computer(windows)and you can play on the internet with other people' or 'the only way to play the best game in the world (not!)is to link up with the computer.'
Well I'm not wasting my money I'll just get a ps2 or game_cube.

The X-box will be able to have much better games than any other console cos it's gonna have a higher spec. Online gaming will be cool once they've worked out how to do it properly, but it will need the games. it is not how good the console is, it's how good the games are that matters.

Well not just the rich, but them too. People who can afford to spend over a grand on a PC and all the upgrades to keep it up to the specs needed for the latest PC games.

Of course Microsoft wants to aim at everyone, they have stated that theyld like to have more than one X-box in every house...One connected to every TV set in the house.

I wou;dn't say that. Why is it just aimed at rich people? It's supposedly going to launch at the same price as the PS2.

Everything that is said about MS was said about Sony about 7 years ago. It's just that Sony had Nintendo's help....

The X-box is aimed at rich Americans who play games online and no longer want the hassle of PC based gaming. It will do very well in the US, but perhaps not as well elsewhere.

They are just expanding their business. I don't think they will do very well though.
