My opinion on why the ps2 has gone seriously down hill...is films. Film licensed games. In a word...why?
Why do they have to make "BLADE 2 THE FILM MOOVIEE GAME!!!122" its just plain stupid and because of games like that and many, many more the good games have been lost. Like that:
Disgaea - The Hour of Darkness
It looks really decent but could i find it today? nope. Could i find a million copies of lord of the rings, blade 2 and monsters inc.? yep.
But its not JUST movie games its pointless games like:
Britney's wikkid Dance Beat
Disney's Donald Duck And His Quest for Buyers
Hulk – Platinum, because someone actually bought the game.
Monopoly Party Ver.0.03258934934897
Shame. Shame because some of the good games the ps2 had exclusives on have now sod'd off because of it.
Pro evo.? Gone to Xbox
Final fantasy? Caught stalking Game cube
GTA? Had an affair with Xbox
I'm not saying they're NO good new games but you have to admit its looking pretty grim :(

Anyway i totally agree with the point made, i had to purchase my copy of Disgaea through ebay. I was looking for it instead found a good copy of Suikoden and sold it for 100 pounds. I was looking for it after Lalakers suggested this and found it in game for a measly 5 pounds.

Anyway Disgaea was a rare title over in America as well. Atlus wasn't too sure how the western audience would react to it, when it sold like hot cakes though it was very hard then for the other gamers to find a copy. Lucky for the Americans they've re-released it now so there should be alot more copies available, whether Koei, i think it is who is in charge of the European publishing, will do that over here i don't know. Depends on the sales figures and if the european public are smart enough to know a good game when it arrives
