Nintendo games have always been known to take a while to reach these shores, but compare the difference to Sony and Sega and you will find that the European market has a greater time to wait for Nintendo games to become available.
Nintendo has been known to abandon games from being released in Europe, reasons why are unknown. Gmaes like the SNES hit, Super Mario RPG, was never released here and made many of Nintendo's loyal European customers feel like Nintendo did not want to give them the best.
Also, Nintendo, as with the GameCube, are known for confirming release dates of its consoles for America and Japan but have always helped spark rumours that its hardware would not be available in Europe. This was the case with the Nintendo D-Drive.
So it is concerning that Nintendo seems to not be treating the European Market, one of the biggest gaming markets, the same as American and Japan. Maybe this is why people are turning their intentions away from Nintendo's proven qualities to Sony and Sega.
Admittedly if I was Nintendo I may forego an early UK launch in order to increase GameBoyAdvance sales at Christmas...However Microsoft have no excuse.
Nintendo are using the same strategy as they have done for all its past consoles and it sucks. They need to change their attitude if they want the Europeans to take them seriously. I don't see why England has to wait more than countries like Australia for some of the games like Excitebike. All Nintendo had to do was to ship a few of the AUS units to the UK but they had to do it the long way by considering the rest of Europe.
Its just one of those thigs we have to live with, because we are not as important compared to the Americans.
