Online Gaming is everywhere now a days, it is becoming just as popular as console gaming.

Online Gaming, it is fun, it is addictive and it is a thing of the future. Whatever your genre of game is, however long you play games for, it is now all on the net. Each online game is as significant as the next, they are full of surprises; things that you will never expect. The best thing about online gaming is that you get to interact with friends and even people you’ve never met before. With online games you get to test your skills against the greatest of players, on the multiplayer game of your choosing, whether it be Unreal Tournament or Quake 3 Arena, whatever it is, be prepared for the battle of your life.

Now there are games already on the net, ready you to play, an example of this is Planetarion, you just sign up, and you are ready to play. Ok this game is primitive, you don’t get to see your ships battling, or your enemies, but you do get to interact with thousands of people. But now there is something newer, a simple download, and you have got a brand new RPG, which you can play over the net, the name of this game is “The Legend of Mir”. Still the graphics are primitive and the game is not the best around, but it makes the future of online gaming positive

If there are games like “The Legend of Mir” playable over the net quickly, free and fun, then imagine what the future will be like. Games like Phantasy star online, are some of the most playable games around, you get to interact and have fun, but they do come at a price. Games like this are fun for everyone, but they do cost us a lot of money to play on our Dreamcasts, but they are worth it.

So soon hopefully we will be playing games like Phantasy star Online on our PC’s for free, because the future is getting closer, and hopefully it will be all that.

Talking about the future, Consoles they are just getting better and better, but why?? Why do they need to get better?? The only things it does to games is improve the graphics, which are good enough as they are, don’t you think. With the arrival of the GameCube and the Xbox coming closer, you start thinking, what will be next??? Well Sony have already released information on the Playstation 3, and they have given examples of it’s power, well it does seem unbelievable. It is supposedly has the power of 13 PS2’s stuck together, what power!!! This console however won’t be released for at least another 5 years, but is this long enough???

All Sony are trying to do now is take more money out of our rapidly hollowing pockets, by releasing a console boasts such tremendous power that all it does is improve the Graphics, do we need this??? I don’t think so.

Thanx for reading

They probably have huge F-off fans in them.

Have you seen the size of the PS2's fan!!! Even then it gets pretty hot.

If you stuck 13 PS2's together, what are the chances that one of them will have a faulty DVD drive?

You obviously don't read OPM (Official Playsation Magazine) They had a big section on it a couple of months ago.

There has been no official details released regarding the development of the Playstation 3. There are rumours regarding the processor as Sony have publicly agreed a deal with IBM to produce a high end processor for future broadband devices, but as of yet no PS3 announcement. The only other thing which may be confusing people is what was know as the GS-Cube (I think) produced by some special effects company based upon the arcitechture of the PS2 but boasting enough power to render the hall fighting scene from the Matrix, with photo realistic textures at an unbelievable frame rate and at a high resolution. You can imagine the concrete flying aff the walls, the trail from bullets etc, but a PS3 it wasn't.
