Alot happened during the making of Resident Evil 2, A pre-version which is more commonly know as RE1.5 was about 70-80% complete when someone at capcom left and a different person took over the project.
They said (1.5) played too much like the original where as capcom try hard to make each of the series different in the way it scares you. Capcom weren't happy with the game and decided to start again from scratch and Resident Evil 2 was made.
Resident Evil 1.5 has alot of nice features that haven't been seen in any of the new games and i think if you check some of the pictures out you'll agree that this should definatly be brought out in the open.

Yeah i suppose the costumes were a slight bit dodgy but i can't believe Capcom can release things like Survivor and say 1.5 isn't good enough for a release.
For a PSone game i don't really think it's dated, i mean looking at the new alone in the dark you can see that 1.5 would do extremly well.
I wish they'd just release it as a demo if they don't want to finish it but it's such a waste isn't it?

It don't look that bad does it. Can't really see it being released though. It looks too dated to appeal to the general gamer. They had very dodgy costumes the main characters didn't they?
