I bought Vexx
I'm sorry, I need some sort of platforming action or else I'll go mad, no matter how numbingly generic it is! It's not bad in places. Although playing it makes you realise just how sublime Nintendo really are.
But I like average platformers. The levels are nice and grand too.
But I played it to death.

Exactly. I can far more easily play Spyro than some FPS rip off. For some reason I can't stop. Actually, Vexx is pretty good in places - some clever puzzles, and the levels are fantastic (in my opinion) - a bit shaky here and there, and nowt to Nintendo, but definitly good. The game isn't bad in any respect, it's just in comparison to Mario and Banjo Kazooie, it's not all that. Although the newest level I've unlocked defeintly has a decent Rare-esque feel to it.
Defeintly not all that special, but if you see it cheap and have a weakness, I reccomend it. It's really not that bad, and definitly fun to play.

No games coming out? have you not checked the american release list? there are loads of decent games including one of the most anticipated RPG's from namco Tales of Symphonia (Yuly 13th), and Baten Kaitos comes out in winter in USA on 15th of Nov. Well whatever other games you want i suggest you either get them from america or be patient and wait an extra 6 or so months til it comes out in Europe, your choice.
They are like football games, they could be the worst in the genre and yet they are still somehow addictive.
Vexx isn't even a bad platformer, just not a good one.
My mate has Ty the Tasmanian Tiger and I played that for 2 hours straight.
Nothing special but hey it's a platformer, and in some twisted way they are always fun.
Apart from a couple (like Sega's Soccer Slam) they always seem to clumsy and clunky to the Nintendo ones.
But beautiful handling is nothing without content to handle in!
That's why Nintendo are still yet to impress where even the most incompetent third parties have.
And Vexx isn't all that bad.
Really.
Just very, very generic.
I'd ask for compensation of them giving you Vexx, also.
I got it free from GAME for compensation along with NFSUnderground, Hardware Online (PS2), My Street (PS2) and Sega GT.
Someone buy it from me for a tenner.
