You can imagine my joy when i reciebed a brand spanking new Playstation 2! You can't well i was overwhelmed it was a present from a friend going to America.

Well today I approached my friend called Ben and he gave me a Dreamcast with 4 very good games (DOA2, RE Code veronica, Sonic Adventures and Shenmue) and I gave him that PS2!

It was the best swap i have ever done!

I see the PS2 as a chocolate eclair toffee kinda thing. It's bloody hard to get into, but there's a great chocolate centre if you manage to make it in.

The PS2 is an excellently designed piece of kit, but because it is like nothing which has ever been seen before developers have to adapt to a new way of working. Yes it will take time, and yes when they are released games on the Gamecube and Xbox will outshine the PS2, but the best looking game I have seen trailers of is Jak and Daxter : The Precursor Legacy, a true testiment to the persiverence of Sony to combat the deficiencies with programming for the PS2.

I meant he's not bullied here. I didn't think he meant being bullied at school.

Being hard to develop for is a side-effect of being excellently designed.

Playstation2 'Excellently-Designed'?

I can not think of a worse thing to say. Perhaps "Oh, good." would be something of simular context.

Nintendo wanted a CD add-on for the SNES, kind of like the Mega CD 32 thingy that Sega released. The Big N teamed up with Sony to develop it.

Nintendo pulled out for some reason, so Sony decided to carry and make a stand alone machine which was the PSX.

That was kind of concise, but i think i got all the important bits in.

Getting hit for mentioning Nintendo....thats just not right. I think that this Neal person needs some serious help.

Do I sound a bit dumb when I say that I didn't know that the PSX was designed by Nintendo. Good arguement to my PSX loving friends that. Could someone please explain it fully.

Then he is persecuting you and it is a very serious offence.

Not really, as they are both very simple by comparison. As for the Xbox, well that runs off the IBM standards set 20, yes 20 YEARS ago. Really outdated, I can see.
