Wouldn't bother me as much, furthest i've ever got to is 2010 and the maximum age of my squad is usually 23. Can see your point though, stick a random face generator in and it should be ok though.

Design a manager would be good as well- you could create your own image and persona!

Yeah, the photos are a great idea.

Until I get to 2015 again and they've all baggered off.

I dont really think there is an over the top amount of extras. Been playing this game pretty solid for the past month now and lovin it.

You can still play the game easily without even touching these "extra options" but you will be crap!

The best thing strangely for me are the introduction of player photos in the profiles (in the lower leagues anyway, can't say i've seen a world class player yet with a picture in his profile, sure there'll be a patch soon after it gets released anyway)

Be quite interesting to actually have a face to go along with whatever unknown scandinavian talent suddenly appears like they do year after year

Please, calm down! =D

I'm really looking forward to Football Manager 2005- it looks as good, if not better than Champo 03/04, which for me was quite a disappointment with its over the top amount of extra options. But with SiGames' database and Sega's gaming knowlege, this could well far better than Eidos' rival new Champo.
