I'm thinking about buying a wireless router to share my connection for 2 PC's...
However, In the not too distant future I will be getting Xbox live - before i buy a wireless router i better check a few things...
Most importantly:
1. Will it work, and will I need any additional equipment
Not so Important:
2. If the answer to the above question is yes; do you use a Wireless router for Xbox Live?
3. Will Xbox Live work if say one computer is surfing the net and the other computer is sharing connections with the Xbox?

Thanks a lot for reading,
And thanks even more if you answer.

I have a wireless router, but found it cheaper to just run the Xbox off it using a wire since it was a four port router. You can get wireless adapters for the Xbox, they are around £50. You'll also need wireless adapters or cards for the PCs as well, or wires and use them in wired mode.

The router is what connects to the net, all computers can simultaneously surf, you can use Xbox Live, whatever. Only thing to bear in mind when using the net and Live at the same time is that if you use a lot of bandwidth, i.e. you use Kazaa at the same time, you will end up with serious lag on Live.

Cheers ßulle†† & Damarus, i do not have the router just yet, and i don't know which one i'll be buying - but it seems like it will work from what you've both said.

I'll try and add you to my MSN ßulle††, but i can't seem to get in these days.

I run 3 PC's, an Xbox and a PS2 from the same router and they all work fine. As for the wireless part, I don't have it but I'm 100% positive the Xbox supports it.

I use a wireless adaptor sometimes, if I decide to take the Xbox downstairs.

Er, what hardware do you have, so we can determine if you need anything extra.

We can always talk on MSN from 2:30 if you still need help by then. If so, add me r2001uk at hotmail dot com.
