I used C:Vampirevampire.exe -console & or "C:Program FilesVampire The Masquerade -Redemption" -console from various cheat code websites, however it would not accept the above parameter.
Anyone with similar problems & how to solve this problem?

I don't own the game, but I'd hazard a guess that your shortcut's target box should read:

"C:\Program Files\Vampire The Masquerade - Redemption\Vampire.exe" - console

With the quotation marks as shown.

BTW, what's Apocalyptica? I always thought they were a band that did wierd covers.
