This is from SkySports.com.

He'll never sign for Arsenal they cried. Oh but he did.

Campbell was unveiled at a press conference at the club's London Colney training ground - when the waiting media expected the signing of Ipswich keeper Richard Wright.

He's signed a four year deal, no wage mentioned.

More to follow no doubt.

That is probably something to think about. The fact that he signed for Arsenal, when he wasn't a Tottenham player anymore!

Technically though, did he 'leave' Spurs? He was out of contract, so wasn't really a Spurs player at the time he signed for Arsenal.

By the way, yes I am an Arsenal fan, and believe me, I was just as shocked as any Spurs fan!

Just like you, I'm surprised that Spurs didn't do whatever it took to keep him.

As a Tottenham fan, the thought of a player like Sol Campbell joining Tottenham's arch rivals, Arsenal, never seemed to be something that I would have to worry about. But last month, Sol Campbell suprised many people by leaving Tottenham and joining Arsenal on a Free Transfer. This annoyed many Tottenham fans, which wasn't suprising, but the thing that annoyed me was the fact that Tottenham should have offered Campbell a new contract last year and if he had of rejected it, they could have sold him for a lot of money, at least 20 million pounds. With that money, Tottenham could have then bought 2, possibly 3, decent players to strengthen the squad. Anyway, that didn't happen and now Campbell is at Arsenal.

Sol Campbell is a world class player and he has recently signed for Arsenal after 10 years at Tottenham. As a Tottenham fan, I was very disappointed when I found out that Campbell had decided to join our arch rivals, although I will agree with him about the fact that he feels Arsenal have got a far better chance of silverware next season, than Tottenham. Sol Campbell is younger than the current 2 best centre backs at Arsenal, Martin Keown and Tony Adams, although I reckon all 3 of them are about the same when it comes to their ability at football. If I had to choose between the 3, I would pick Campbell and then Adams. But Arsenal would probably be better off next season if they played all 3 of them and so they changed their formation. I just hope that Arsenal don’t win anything next season because then Campbell would be able to say he made the right choice in joining them.

Hate to admit it but Arsenal have made probably the best signing of the summer!! How much will he earn a week??

Oh it is wonderful.

Don’t think there’ll be too much talk about Arsenals ageing back five now. Richard Wright , Sol Campbell, Ashley Cole, Silvinho and Igor Stepanovs.

Five Internationals, three England , one Brazilian and one Latvian.

Okay so he’s Latvian, but he's the right side of Thirty.
