With the official Sony memory card pretty hard to find in my local shops, I was wondering whether buying an unofficial memory card like Mad Catz will make any difference. Has anyone got unofficial memory cards and what do u think of them?

My unofficial card didn't show up in the browser for whateer reason but i think it's best for anyone who's buying PS1 card just to play safe and buy a official one.

Dont have a credit card. I ll just have to order by cheque
By the way thats to anyone from SR. I was a member till November 2000 but i now want to rejoin. I want to pay by cheque and i was just wandering if I could use one of your older order forms to write a new price and everything.
Cause i ve got an order form and it says that it costs £6 to rejoin. But it now costs £6.50. Would that be ok by them?

I had an official and unofficial memory card for the PS1 and they both worked as good as each other. They both show up in the PS2 browser. Although they both work as good as each other, I would still opt to wait until an official comes your way because they are both in the same price region.

I've heard they don't look as good but if you buying an unofficial PS1 card, don't bother mine didn't show up in the browser and others have some small problems running on a PS2.

Stick with the official PS1 card, but try to get it in black.
