"The Shawshank Redemption"

Not sure if you guys have seen it before. I haven't, but I'm about to now. Apparently it's listed #2 under The Godfather (another film I've yet to see) on IMDB, so I'm expecting this to be good.

So yeah, anyone else seen it? What do you think of it? And is it worth the £2.84 my brother paid for it at Tescos on a Friday night?

Yes, I'd like to see it again. I'll ask my girlfriend if she's seen it, hopefully not as I'm sure she'd enjoy it.

Kevin Cosner was offered the role but turned it down, which he really regretted apparently. I cant see anyone other than Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman playing those roles now.

Its possibly the best film Ive ever seen. I watched it on film4 the other night and enjoyed every minute of it.

Amazing to think it flopped when it was released. Mind you its the biggest ever rented Dvd.

Well what can I say, you were all quick to say how good it was and now I understand why =D It's a great movie, I really enjoyed it. What a bargin too, for less than £3. I'm glad my brother finally bought it and I got to see it.

Excellent film, saw it on Channel 4 a year or so back and really want to see it again.
