Everyday while I’m playing on my DC I think to my self “I could have a go at this gaming lark, and make a game twice as good as any Phantasy Star Online!”
I have tons of ideas that I think would sell really well and would give hours of fun gaming to the people of the world.
I’ve always wanted to make games and even written to Microsoft where there sent me a parcel of goodies and how to get in this kind of business.
Now is the time I want to share my idea with the whole of FOG, I’ve never told anyone else this idea for a game as I’m hoping to make it when I’m older.
So, here goes…
This game is a game called NYPD Blue, as you might have guessed it’s a police game, in New York. And with my Dad being a policeman I get some inside information.
Well basically you’re a cop in this game, roaming the streets of NY, seeking maidens in distress and stuff like that, but there’s a lot more depth it NYPD.
It is the present year and you’ve just graduated from high school wanting to start life off as a Cop. You live in a run down flat in New York, down near the factories.
There is no main bad guy to this plot, only big villains like 3-foot and Bobbie Blue.
Your aim is to end up being Commander of the NYPD after 30 years in the force (obviously not are time).
You start off as a free lance and you go on police training course, this is where it starts. Where you get trained up and have lessons till the final day off your examination where the Sergeants say if you’re in the force or not after you’ve showed them your running through big cities dodging obstacles skills, showing your car skills, shooting skills and what your like under pressure.
After you’ve got through you start roaming the streets, looking for little things like teens doing graffiti, little old ladies being mugged etc.
Each crime you solve you get a pay rise and point’s until eventually you get promoted.
After roaming the streets your awarded with a car. And a shotgun, your taught only to use your gun at drastic times, if you use for little things like a… cat stuck in a tree, then you get demoted or FIRED!!!
When you’ve got your car and gun you drive around the city, looking for things like before but much bigger. Like bank robberies, shootouts etc. Like before you get promoted and more cash for doing the right stuff, and vicar versa…
Once you get promoted you choose which way you wont to go in your business. You can either be a sniper, a bomb detector working on the bomb squad, in a squat team or a detective (which is similar to what you were before, but with more controls and bigger jobs).
From there you have to work yourself up to be the commander of the NYPD, where you control the NYPD and who gets sacked and things like that.
There’s going to be a lot of depth to this game, with little things making it so brilliant.
Like things like, you have to set your alarm clock to the right time for work, you don’t have to work you can do what you wont, but you’ll loose points. Like in Shenmue this game is Free and you can do whatever you want.
I could go into a lot more depth about this subject and about NYPD Blue but it will get to boring, I just want to show my idea to the world and what they think about it…
And I thought we could have a little competition like this. With each person saying if they created a game what would it be like. You don’t win anything, just the pride in knowing you won it will last for three weeks and don’t get to excited as it’s only little and I only expect about 3 people to do it. I will decide the winner on the 21st and I can’t choose myself…

Nice idea Spider, a sort of mix of RPG/FPS-I like it.

Yeah, but I think you should mix the scroll shooter and 3rd person together. Like when you are in the Squat team and in a battle you could use the scroll shooter.
I like the sond of it... although I think it would be better as a scrolling 3rd person shooter... (Like Sin and Punishment)
