I need extra ram but I was wanting to know should I get another 40 - 80 gigs or 256 ram.

If your 40Gb of hdd space is indeed spread over 4 physical drives as you say, I'd say you *seriously* need a new hard drive before you think about upgrading your ram.

To be honest, I doubt I'll fill it any time soon. The biggest space consumer is probably the full installation of Far Cry, maybe the MP3s.

I do have a lot of CD Images though, they take up a fair bit of space.

How do you get so much stuff that you need a 200 GB Hard drive space?

I'd say RAM before HDD Space.

I have a 200Gb Hard Drive and 512Mb RAM - I'm upgrading to 1Gb as soon as cash flow allows.

Get 512 MB of RAM. If you need more ram now, adding more space will just make it worse.

I've got 120 GB of space and 756 RAM, never pauses. Period.

Well i've used 1 (if i remember correct last time i opened my pc was ages ago.

Erm there's no such thing as 40-80gigs of Ram that only applies to HARD DISKS

and how many physical hard drives is your hard disk space spread over?
